Tasty Finger Painting

Ziva is getting older (9 months!) and I thought it was about time we did something just for her.  While Zayit was napping, Ziva got to try her hand at finger painting.  It was a very new experience for her in many ways - she was allowed to mess with the 'paint' on her tray, it was cold and slimy, and a new taste for her.  Fun times!  I'll admit that she was less than thrilled at first but in the end, it was a fun experience.

Since everything goes directly into Ziva's mouth, the paint needed to be edible.  I found some great ideas on Pinterest and decided to go with vanilla pudding.

Hmmm.... Feels.... COLD! WET! SLIMY!

Love the pudgy fingers!

Tastes kinda...

Having some fun painting
We had a bunch of colored pudding left over, and since we don't really eat that sort of thing in our house, we will be using it in the bath tomorrow night so Zayit can enjoy as well!

  1. I still need to do this for my son. He is 18 months and I keep wanting to let him do paint with us but if I don't want him close enough, he will stick the paint brush in his mouth to suck it off like he does with condiments! It's like he thinks the paint is ketchup or something lol!

    1. Another edible paint that you can use is condensed milk. It dries nicely and works well with a paint brush - much better than the pudding would. Mix your colors and use an ice cube tray as your palette. Have fun!

  2. We love pudding paint! I bet she had a great time. :) Thanks for sharing with The Sunday Showcase.

  3. So fun, it's wonderful to get even the tiniest tots exploring safely - I have featured you on this week's Sunday Showcase -
